Sourdough Curry & Sundried Tomato Loaf
240 mins prepServes 10
A flavorful sourdough loaf made with bread flour, whole wheat flour, and curry powder, enhanced with sundried tomatoes. Perfectly toasted and enjoyed as is. Ideal for those starting a sourdough journey as the warm weather helps fermentation.
1: Mix bread flour, whole wheat flour, curry powder, water, sourdough starter, salt, and sundried tomato to form a dough.
2: Perform 3 stretch and folds and 1-2 coil folds.
3: Allow for bulk fermentation for 6-8 hours until the dough is bubbly and has increased by 50%.
4: Shape the dough and cold retard for 12 hours.
5: Preheat the Dutch oven at 480°F for at least 45 minutes.
6: Bake the loaf inside the Dutch oven for 20 minutes.
7: Remove the loaf and place it on a baking sheet.
8: Continue to bake for another 15-20 minutes at 440°F to prevent burning at the bottom.
