A super easy and delicious vanilla panna cotta recipe, perfect for celebrating or finishing off a good meal. Emphasizes using good quality vanilla for the best flavor.
1. In a small bowl, add in gelatin powder and 2 tbsp of hot water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
2. Using a pairing knife, cut through the vanilla bean pod and scrap out the vanilla beans.
3. In a pot over medium heat, add in milk, cream, vanilla bean and the pod, and sugar. Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat. Add in the bloomed gelatin and mix well.
4. Pour the mixture to each ramekin.
5. Chill them for at least 4 hours. Serve with some homemade strawberry sauce or fresh berries and enjoy!
